Hi there,

I tried finding in the thread but could not find much information about the topic. I am thinking about applying for php and my job is IT Service Technician which is NOC 2282. I get paid 18$ per hour. I was just wondering if this is enough income for PNP or are they gonna say that I am getting underpaid?

Thanks

Thanks for the answers. I checked that on PNP website and thats what I thought that its ok for a fresh grad to be just making 18 per hour right.

Did you have any experience or know anyone who got their PNP approved being earning less than the Median Wage.

You should fall on the income threshold that the BC PNP have on their website based on the size of the family. If not, do not apply yet you will not get an approval.

Hi chie042012,

According to their website a single person like me needs to make $17,738 based on size of family. But I make 38500$ at present so its way more than whats required as per family need.
PS: I am only one in my family applying so family size is just 1.

Only concern is the job I have is NOC 2282 and if I check workingincanada.gc.ca about the wages for this it shows as median wage of 25$ in British columbia so in technical terms I am being underpaid ( I am getting 18).

My question is BC pnp website states that they judge the wage in accordance with all factors like like age, education and experience. I am a fresh grad and finished my diploma this year and I had 1 year of technical experience at my school.

Shall I go ahead and apply because I meet their income threshold or find a high paying job which I am sure I wont get.

Thanks a lot for everyone's time :)

Just to let you know I am under paid in my job role (by a lot so I found out) and BCPNP didn't question anything.

Thanks Lez_s.

Thats good to hear. Can I ask you if you appointed a consultant or did everything by yourself? Can you send me the details if you appointed one?

I have a lawyer doing the paperwork for me. When its comes to stuff like this I'm rubbish and leave things to the last minute. As this is very important I thought it was best to get someone to do it for me.

The guy that is dealing with mine is very good. If you need contact details drop me a message and I'll send his over.

I have a friend that was disapproved by the BC PNP because of the lower income.

You could apply under a different NOC if your job spec match something else and ask your work to change your job title for the paperwork. I know of people that have done that.
