Hi everyone,

I am a post grad business student in BC, my program is 11month long so I will have a total of 11 months PGWP, which will not make me eligible for express entry requiring work experience of 1 year.

First I aim for LMIA and TFW program to have a longer work permit in addition to my 11 month PGWP so that after working for a year I can be under express entry. But many people say that LMIA is extremely hard to obtain and that I should aim for PNP instead.

However, I read the BC PNP website, and mostly found PNP for those studying in applied science, engineering, etc...and for skills immigration they only accept healthcare professionals.

My question is... Do they have other programs for business post graduate students...( i.e. if I have a full-time permanent job offer here that falls in NOC 0 or A? ) to work here longer?

I am just not sure if these programs do not exist at all, or they exist but the quota was reached so I could not find them on the website.

Thank you so much for your enlightenment and suggestion. Happy new year everyone!

best option for you would be extend your study and do 2 year. this way at least you have 3 years of work permit .
Labour market is very difficult to get. PNP processing time is longer. As soon as you will get graduation u won't be able to apply for pnp express entry as you wont have necessary experience.
1 year of more study but you will be secure to get pnp ..

Thank you for your advice. I am also considering this option. How about Skills immigration in NOC A or 0 though?
