BC Guy pls help,TWP expired but an extension is on the way,my question?

hello sir,

my temporary work permit was expired last june 22,2009 but before it expires i have lodge my extension of my TWP at CIC office in vegreville, they received the application on the 27 of april 2009,but i read that one of the requirements for BC PNP is a valid work permit

1. Do i have to wait for my new work permit before i could pass the BC PNP application package?
