Basic questions for applying for my study permit

Hey there, all. I am an American international student who was recently accepted at Carleton University in Ottawa and am making plans to attend/apply for my study permit.

I've already received both the acceptance letter, my criminal background check, as well as filling out the necessary forms to apply for my study permit. However, I was curious as to some of the financial requirements. I am intending on ordering bank statements (March-June) as well as getting a bank draft in convertible currency (as per the CIC website). I am also receiving unsubsidized/subsidized loans via FAFSA.

So, my financial documents include:

Bank statements & bank draft ($18500 USD)
Financial aid statement ($10500 USD)

with a total of $29000 USD. On the study permit application form, I noted that $18000 would be for tuition, $10000 for living expenses and $1000 for other (traveling expenses, etc.). Would this be acceptable, or should I make some modifications before submitting my application?

In addition to this, I was curious as to the processing times for Study Permit Applications made online.
Thanks for any info!
