Bank Statements instead of bank certificate

Hi,

My sister who is inviting me to Canada, can only provide Bank statements instead of Bank Certificate as supplementary document. Would a bank statement be okay in place of a bank certificate from my host?

Bank snapshot is what is preferred. Bank statements also work.

Keep in mind you are the one to prove that you can afford the trip. Her sponsorship DOES NOT waive this requirement.
