Hello Forum,

I was wondering when providing a bank statement do they really verify the account, I have an old bank statement with more funds then I currently have at the moment. Im just worried I don't have sufficient documents I currently have a letter from my tenant stating that he pays x amt. per month, a work letter from my director, a letter from my mother-in-law stating that food and accommodations will be taken care by her and a letter finalizing the purchase of our home by my wife and I. Should I attach my proof of funds or not provide it. Please any input would be appreciated.

Thank you

Re:entry denial into canada

I grew up in New York State and have lived in America for 53 years. I worked for nearly 25 years and I am college educated, but due to a disability I cannot work. I receive Social Security Disability in a monthly check. I have only 1 minor arrest back in 2001 (assault and Battery of a Police Officer in Shrewsbury, Ma) when I was going through a nasty divorce. The police officer to this day has not shown up in court to defend his untruthful police report and I was punished with 1 yrs' probation and 6 months jail time. Because this was a police officer or for whatever reason I have been denied entry into Canada twice once in Niagara Falls, once in Windsor. I thought America was bad, then immigration has the audacity to ask to verify funds. I will do whatever I can to deny Canadian citizens employment in America on border towns and to go one step further I will stop the retirees from living in Florida and traveling throughout America at their leisure, believe me, I travel alot to other countries without a hitch and word of mouth is ones best advertisement. Thanks Canada for nothing!

Cool story bro. But this thread purpose is to get opinions on the members question and not to discuss unrelated stuff. Open a new thread in the appropriate section if you feel like it.

Cocomtl: as long as it is recent and the difference is not too much, I wouldn't worry about it. Remember: don't lie or do something that could be interpreted in the wrong way by the visa officer as that could have very bad consequences.

I think its more important to show your t4 and paystub than bank statement. Thats only my opinion, i did that to my parents
