Hi all,

I need your valuable advice regarding the bank statement for the Study permit. My wife is going to begin her studies in a 1-years Post Graduate diploma course in a public college located in Ontario. I am will be her sponsor and intend to go with her. I have few queries regarding the bank statement. As we are currently in Korea, so we have to apply only through the non-SDS way (please correct me if I am wrong).

1. As much I know, she has to show at least 4 months bank statement that should contain a sufficient amount in my account (1-year tuition fees + living expenses + travel expenses). If that amount is around 25,000 CAD, I would like to know that this amount should remain in my account all the time (last 4 months period), or they just see the final amount? [For instance, is it acceptable that I had 20,000 CAD for 3.5 months from January 1 to April 15 and in the last 15 days (April 16 to April 30) the closing amount was around 26,000 CAD]

2. I also have to prepare a sponsorship letter along with the bank statement; should I attest it from any authority before the submission, or contact details (i.e., official email and phone number) is enough for its validation?

Thanks in advance!
