I am assuming ur from india
depends ......if ur applying under SPP ur pay the fees and get GIC ...u wont need anything else..if ur applying under general then its a good idea to show sponsors/parents IT returns or pay slips etc to prove ur sponsor has a steady income.yes they can call ur sponsors workplace or use other means to verify credibility of ur documents if they suspect of fake documents
