bank draft; need immediate reply pls

Dear seniors,

I have a problem. My friend from canada sent me a bank draft written to " Receiver General of Canada ", it should have been written to " Receiver General for Canada ". You can see that of and for are interchanged. Can CIC accept my draft ? or should i get a new draft ? i need your immediate reply pls as my cap is going to be reach very soon.

Please confirm whether u had to get the draft rectified as advised by other members or it was accepted as : Receiver General of Canada? because one of my friend is facing the same problem with the draft.

Better change the draft with the correct words rather than gamble for it that it may be accepted by CIC. This might be costly on your application.

No, it's for the payment of ones application and it should be in Canadian Dollars. There are two ways to pay, thru Credit Card and Bank Draft. Show Money popularly refers to Proof of Funds.
