I've seen a lot of people getting their file number from the copy of the BD encashed by CIC, can anyone please confirm from which bank have you drawn your bank draft and have been given a copy with the FILE NUMBER on the back..

I asked my local TD trust and was told by the supervisor that they do not give copy of the encashed BD. :(

Anyone mind to share info on this?

I took the BD from TD Bank...

I don't think it matter as long as your draft is cashed you are set....

the RBC will give your file no. in my town TD is not giving to my friend, just they confirmed draft was encashed dateonly,

It does as I would like to do an advance medical, I might be asked by the DMP and the file number in hand would help. Thanks anyways.

I'll check out RBC, my local TD told me the same thing. Thanks for the info.

My 2 cents, it would be unwise to do the medical before you receive your file number in your AOR. It won't speed things up to do it before then, and if you do your medicals too soon, they could expire before your application is finished - they are only valid for 1 year and must be valid at the time you land - then you'd have to do them again.
