bank account in US and canada

This maybe a little off topic for this forum, is there any bank that offers a checking or saving account that can be jointly held and operated persons in both US and canada?

You can open a bank account in Canada (a simple chequing account) and possibly a savings account without having a SIN (Social Insurance Number). Yo may need to open the accoutn at first with a Canadian address but there is nothing to stop you changing that afterwards.

Thanks for your advice. From the lack of response from others and from my research on the internet, I believe there is no bank that offers me to retain joint account in both US and canada.

A followup to my previous question, now related to immigration:

Can I share a joint account with my relative in canada and show funds in this account for my PR visa and also visitor visa? I already applied for skilled PR. If there is a request for financial documents, will it be ok to show funds in my canadian account or should all the funds be in my country of residence (ie US)?
