Background Checks

Helli Expert members,

Can any one tell what is the maximum time for BG checks. It has been 3 months i was told by CIC that my BG tests are going on and i received email from CIC telling again that BG checks are going on.
Can any one tell what ks going on ?
Please help me, Im very much worried about my case,

I am waiting for MR.

In my opinion Back ground check is a time Bar , at least in our cases !

I dont know if it is a time bar or not. but i emailed them after my medicals in december and they said that BG test going on and still in mid march i received email telling me that BG test are going on.
I dont know what is going on.

and now i am going hopeless as time is passing

ACTUALLY WE ARE STUCK IN AN UNJUSTIFIED SYSTEM CREATED BY MINISTERIAL INSTRUCTIONS.

There are two type of checks:
one is Background Check, in this they normally verify your education background, your employer and your previous background and your traveling history etc etc

second is security check and it is not done by CIC but the CSIS (border agency); in this check they verify if you have ever been involved in crimes against your country like espionage, propaganda etc or you have ever been a TERRORIST,they want to make sure that u r a good boy

They normally call the employer, boss, education commission or what ever or who ever they deem necessary. But this check is normally done when they feel something strange in the documents or they feel something cooky.
Remember there is difference between security and background checks. If they are at the stage of security checks; the matter is not in the hands of CIC any more and they are dependent on the CSIS; who give them security report.
