Hi,
Did anybody live this craziness???
February, 2013 - received confirmation via e-mail that the processing of my PR is completed. Requested to send them passports & pay PRR fee. Since July, 2013 they have both passports.
When MP contacted them in August to proceed with my file, all of a sudden, I received a request from them that they want me to fill out a new form Background declaration for the reason that one period was missing. That was done back in September, 2013. BTW, that line indicated "Unemployed". Since then - nothing.
February, 2014 - contacted Case Management requesting update. Received an answer that "Background Checks are ongoing"!
Could someone clarify me that part please! How could it be still ongoing when they have been already done in 2011???
And, under what pretext AFTER approval that processing is completed they started them all over?!
And, again, how can they possibly take over 5 months when it is a second check, i.e. based on the results of previous ones?
Note: since these checks were done & confirmed to me by CIC office I never left Canada.
Thank you, all, for your time and answers!
