Hi everyone,

I saw some people wrote that during the background check someone visited their current/old office to verify.

My question is,
1. Do they give any prior notice before visiting?
2. Who visits? I mean someone from the same country as the office or someone from Canada?
3. What do they do?
4. Should I do let my old employer know about this in case anyone visits?

Seniors pls pls pls reply..... I am not sure how my old workplace bosses would behave if someone visits! I am quite tensed! It worked there a longgggg ago (8 yrs) and I don't even know who is there!

No Notice is give

2. Who visits? I mean someone from the same country as the office or someone from Canada?
Ppl from canadian visa office of that country.

3. What do they do?
Confirm the employment with the HR department, ask question to employer and mya check the records to confirm the employment.

4. Should I do let my old employer know about this in case anyone visits?
yes let him know so that he/she is ready but its very rare that they do the physical check mostly they do it by phone.
