Hi,
One of my close family friends applied for a trv from India to attend a marriage ceremony in Canada. Total of four family members applied for the same. Applied online and biometric completed and updated. Profile :
1. Applicant number one. Previous travel history to Canada with no overstays, valid UK Visa .. extensively traveled
2. Applicant 2. Valid UK visa extensively traveled to uk and other visa required countries.
3. Applicant 3. Limited travel history , (Refused once )
4. Applicant 4. Limited travel history
(Refused once )
So the question goes that why was a background check ordered by VO for all the four as none of them were associated with defence/police or government post or a political outfit. No adverse travel history and refusal were clearly mentioned and objections in refusal dealt with appropriate documentation.
So isn’t it unusual to call for a BGC.
