Dear Friends,
I submitted my family PR application in June 2023, and we haven't received any updates since January 2024, after IRCC requested our resumes. It has been a long and difficult wait for us.
After multiple discussions with IRCC agents, I learned that our application is still under background check. The criminality check has been cleared, but the background check has been ongoing for nearly 10 months.
Since I have lived in multiple countries, including France, Germany, and Japan, I provided all the required documents. However, I am unsure what is causing the delay.
I wanted to ask if there is a way to reach out to the consulate to check if IRCC has verified their requests or if there is anything else pending on their side, without interfering with the process or breaking any rules.
I understand these processes take time, but the lack of communication or updates (even my GCMS notes request has not been responded to) has made the situation very challenging.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
SAND
