i live in pakistan and my husband is naturalized canadian citizen. I need to apply for my baby's documentation for canada. what documents are required for her documentation.

what documents i need to apply? also i will submit the application here in pakistan or my husband will have to apply from canada? pls guide?

Your husband needs to apply for baby's Canadian Citizenship Certificate in Canada or at your local Embassy.Processing time is 3-4 months if applied within Canada and then once you receive your babys citizenship certificate you can apply for the Canadian Passport with the local Embassy....

tahsinmohammad answer ur question very well...but first of all apply her birth certificate. .then take dis and other documents like her passport size pics. .along with urs and ur husband' s id proofs...
take these documents in ur local embassy and apply her citizenship certificate. ..

for Canadian passport-there are 2 options
if u hv ur visa ? like ur husband apply ur visa yet or not? then they see d proof of ur visa then issue ur babys Canadian passport. .
or if her citizenship card arrived then after dat u apply her passport. ..

If applying in Pakistan. you will also need original proof of citizenship "Canadian" of your spouse and send all these documents to High Commission in Islamabad or any Canadian consulate close to you (Lahore or Karachi). It will take around 9-10 months for approval. Once you have applied, you can also apply for Canadian passport only if you need to travel with prove of travel docs (Paid tickets etc).

If applying in Canada. Not sure about the time frames, but you will atleast need to send 2 of the Nadra documents mentioned above and you spouse may apply in Canada. Hope this helps!

I applied for childs canadian citizenship and it still hasn't come through how ever my wifes has already gotten her visa. So my qiestion is that you were mentioning i can apply for my childs canadian passport before her citizenship certificate application is fully processed?
Because my wife cannot come until my daughter gets her application processed and it has already been over 10 months

think I heard they can expedite your child's own if they receive proof of urgency to travel and again since your wife 's PR is time bound because she can't travel and leave the baby. So if u can show proof, it will be sent. My hubby applied for my daughter's own. I'm currently waiting for PPR, once it comes my hubby will take it to embassy so that ours can be expedited.
