I want to enquire regarding the procedure on how to apply for my child's citizenship and passport from India as I'm an Indian passport holder and my husband is a Canadian (naturalization) who is currently residing in U.A.E.
Reading the previous forums I found out that it can take up to 10-12 months just for d citizenship to arrive. Is there a way I can get it faster so that I can travel back to U.A.E after getting the passport??
I have heard that the main applicant (husband) has to be a resident of the country I'm applying from as my husband is an OCI holder but doesn't have the Indian Adhar card yet.
Is it possible for me to send the birth certificate to U.A.E and apply from the Canadian consulate in Dubai as he is having residence Visa of Dubai ???
It will be really helpful to recieve concrete information from any of you.
