We [myself, my wife and son] became a permanent resident of Canada in March, 2015 after completing our landing formalities. Our federal skilled worker application was subsequently close.

In August 2015, we had a baby girl born in US. Myself and my spouse ( are citizen of India and our son and daughter as citizens of US. We are all residing in US for more than a decade.

We were told that we could sponsor our new born daughter when we move to Canada (using family immigration). Since our daughter is a citizen of US (a Visa exempt country ), we are planning to bring us with us and later file a family immigration application.

Please let us know if there is something else we should be doing now.

I am little concerned when I hear CIC forcing families out (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/family-in-calgary-may-be-forced-out-of-canada-because-of-baby-1.3162610 )

Thanks!

That is an entirely different situation than yours. The child is that case was born before the parents became PRs and not included in the application; the parents then tried to land without having declared the child.

Start getting all the required documents and stuff for the application together now so you can submit it as soon as you get to Canada.
