Awating response to TRV application for 24 days

My husband applied for a TRV in Kingston Jamaica on the 16th of February. We were told it takes 10 to 15 days to receive an answer. we are March 11th and still no answer. Is this normal? Can they have lost or forgotten his application?

Hi. The current processing time for your neck of the woods is 14 weeks from the time they have recieved your complete application. So if they request additional docs or a medical the processing time of 14 weeks will start from then. So dont worry be happy.

Macthepac we only applied for a single entry tourist visa and they told us it takes 10 to 15 days. we are starting our 6th weeks wait... this is not PR just a simple tourist visa...
696 thank you for your response.Yes we already contacted them by email last week. the website tells us we will receive a response within one month.

It makes no difference cori123. If it is a simple tourist thingy-majig or a pr app. You must wait at least 14 weeks.

It isn't 14 WEEKS for Kingston, Jamaica for TRVs, plz check timelines, TRVs are in DAYS, and yes theirs might be delayed, but doesn't mean there's any problem, delays can happen.

Hi There, my boyfriend has been waiting approximatly six weeks as well for a response on a visitors visa to canada and no contact whats so ever. The turn around time when he submitted had been changed on the Kingston website from 14 days to 20 days and now at 21. We have sent a fax, email, letter. and still nothing. I am wondering if you every recieved your response?

fiancee applied at Kingston the week of Jan 20th, 2013, on March 8th received a call to submit police check submitted March 22 and to date May 10, no word. so yes it is now week 16 or 80 business days later and the 41 business days posted has come and gone. I have been hearing negative stories that TRV is near impossible - why is that? I mean I know there is concern of not returning..but in his case he has a job and a dependent son that he is raising on his own so hope that is seen in his favour, God willing.
Miss him terribly - 7 months since we last saw each other(I went to see him) and we are going slowly mad with waiting and feeling this sense of limbo

*** lesson learned, at the time of applying it said the following docs were not necessary but may be asked. meds, police check and sure enough 6 weeks into submitting the TRV application they asked...which has delayed so going to ensure everything is submitted the next time..
