Awaiting for AOR, wants to leave employer

Hi everyone, I would like to ask, currently I’m a caregiver whose waiting for my PR application. I want to leave my employer due to working long hours without pay, vacation days that is hard to take. What are my options? Thank you.

Hi Tatt, i will suggest that you wait till you get your AOR, which means that your application has been locked in. you can then change your job and notify IRCC just to be on the safe side in case additional documents are required from you. Best of luck

Are you inland/outland, where are you living right now, under what program have to applied for PR. Need more info.

Hello, thank you for you reply. I am an inland applicant. I submitted my application for Home Care Child Pilot Program last May 2020. My entry visa was caregiver program. I’m with my employer for the last 24months and over. I havent received any AOR or update. I’m scared if I leave my current employer now that I am implied, it will have some effect on my papers.

The big issue is that you can't change your employer without changing the conditions of your WP.

Hi, Did you leave your employer? We have the same situation. I want to leave my employer after I gained 24 months of experience becuase I am not comfortable working with them

Hello, unfortunately I’m still with my employer as I have not received my AOR yet. I dont know for any other options too.
