Avoid claiming common-law if not sponsoring common-law

I am wondering if I can avoid claiming my common-law relationship if we decide not to sponsor my common-law partner at the moment. I have received ITA this Friday. Any help is appreciated!

Well that would be misrepresentation if common-law. You can include as non-accompanying. If IRCC finds out then your spouse can never be sponsored by you.
