Hello everyone,

I just applied for the Young Professional program of the IEC. I am from Germany and according to the CIC website there are still 97 spots avaiable but after I applied I got back my first message that the current quota is full and that I am on the waiting list.

Why is that?

Same. It's weird. ::)
I highly doubt I'll still get in though. What's your WTN?

hey Marlee,

I got an email from IEC in Germany and they told me it is an automatic message.
I got a confirmation that spots are available within 48 hours. After that I uploaded all required documents and got my acceptance letter after 4 days. So it worked it out pretty well.
Let me know if you need some help with the Kompass application.

After only 4 days? It's said to take 2 weeks for the first step - wow, that's really quick! I bet it's because most applications of 2014 have already been processed and they don't really have a lot to do at the office. :D

I submitted my application on the 25th, immediately received a waiting list notification. When I woke up today (27th), I had an email in my inbox, saying that a spot became available. I immediately uploaded the requested files, so now I am waiting for the IEC validation. I also sent a fax to the Bundesjustizamt today to request a recent criminal record, since I am sure CIC will want me to submit one. I hope it's not gonna take a million years... ::)
