Australia is a beautiful country and I am sure you will love it here. Yes, you can earn a lot more as compared to students in Canada and living expenses can be reduced to a great extent if you are ready to live in sharing. Getting PR is hard as compared to Canada but still people manage to get it.

Both Canada and Australia are great options to study and get PR. These days it is bit hard to get PR in Australia as compared to Canada but students make more money in Australia. Australia also acknowledges the overseas study and work experience more readily as compared to Canada i.e. employment prospects are better in Australia. Personally I found family life in Canada better than Australia, being an Indian(Punjabi), I felt more close to my culture in Canada as compared to Australia. We can also sponsor Parents or Grand Parents in Canada(lot cheaper) but very expensive to sponsor parents(only) in Australia.

Dear Puneet,

Sydney being the biggest city in Australia has got lot more opportunities as compared to other cities. Living in sharing can reduce the expenses to great extent.

@PuneetKhalsa, you are right and there are 2 types of visas under the same subclass (485) and the length of visa is related to the course completed. Below is a link to understand things better:-

http://www.immi.gov.au/Study/Pages/study-work-arrangements.aspx

@hell911 ,yes rent is paid weekly or bi-weekly here in Australia but that should not matter us a lot as rent has to be paid in all the conditions.

Hi,

I do understand the simple point in selecting the Country. All of us want to settle down in Country wherever we move. Right???

Simple solution is to become PR of one of the countries and can move across anywhere easily.

If we compare Australia and Canada, Canada is the easy way to apply for PR. Cost effective!

In Canada, Quebec was known earlier for Shortest path to apply for PR but with SINP new rules Saskatchewan province has taken shortest path to apply for PR. This is possible only in two years in Saskatchewan. Then you may move to any country easily for work or settle down it would be easy.

To get PR of Australia it would take minimum 5 to 7 years.

Choice is yours then. :)
