Hello all,
Wondering if anyone has prior knowledge about Aussies staying in Canada for over 6 months? From what I have read, I understand that I can be a visitor in Canada for 6 months but then would have to either return home (for how long?) and then fly back to Canada or apply to visit for longer whilst already in Canada. Is this easy to do? What is the process?
I will be travelling the the US for a few days at around the 5 month mark, once I re-enter Canada would I then be granted another 6 months? Or does this only happen when you return to your home country?
I'm wanting to stay in Canada for a total of about 18 months. I'm trying to find out what the best way to do this is. Ideally I would like to be able to extend my stay after six months, then again after twelve months and then I would leave after the 18 month period. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Any advice, words of wisdom or thoughts are much appreciated!
