hi all,
i am an australian trying to migrate, i am currently on my second canadian work visa- my girlfriend is canadian and we have lived together for over a year, so yes i understand that we may be eligible for common law- but i feel i will need to work.. is there anyway around the work restrictions? also is it possible to be sponsored through my work in canada? and how hard would it be?
i'm hoping someone could please shed some light on my situation.. also if we apply for common-law and i have to leave when my visa is up then return for 6 months as a visitor(this would only be whilst awaiting approval) is that breaking any rules?

appreciate any bit of help:)
i will be eagerly awaiting

hello, your fastest bet is to be sponsored by a spouse ( common law or other ) and still that takes the better part of a year, if not more. from what i understand, as long as your work visa is valid, you can work. the cic page is really healpfull about the restrictions on working. just google canada immigration and you get it right away.

have fun :)
