those people in forum from aug 2013 ,why this especial month is slow?is there any one was told by CIC as routine application in aug 2013 and discovers its procedure to be slow?I am one of them, anyone else?it seems calling CIC call center does not make any change or give any new info.i stopped it because it might be considered as making overload calls for CIC,and CIC call center said that if any change like test and oath and problem related to them happened then calling makes sense.it is totally discriminatory while some people in nov, sep, etc received their oath but some others are still waiting and i hope race and nationality do not play role in this ....

Dont know bro....makes no sense to me as to why Aug 13 will be slower....

again i will take things with a grain of salt....i have seen one user reporting getting a test at scarborough office when he/she mailed the application on Jan 2014....

You can read between the lines

In fact CIC has taken the approach to faster the process from 2014 received application. Most of 2014 application already went onto to the processing within 60 days or so and many applicants are reporting test dates. Also applicants from Feb onward will likely see the processing even faster due to new changes in application form and increase the fees to $400.

I think government just is doing this near new election and then the trend will return back to normal.if this government does not get the office then everything would be different for good or bad.i think 400$ application fee has impact on speed ,agree,in US immigration when you call office of immigration then they will tell you exactly which month and year is proceeded for citizenship, because all applications go forward month by month without any jump

Um. Is this for real? If so, please look around a bit.

Routine processing times are still listed at 24 months. Non-routine at 36 months.

Applications that are less than 8 months old are not slow.

I know we all wish our personal applications were processed more quickly, but, speaking as one of the tens of thousands who applied in 2010/2011 and is still not a citizen (despite, yes, meeting all requirements) please appreciate your relative good fortune to apply during a time period where many applicants are enjoying record fast processing times.

There are a lot of problems at the CIC, but not having sent a test or oath invite for an application to 8 month old applications does not rank high on the list.
