Hello, so I need 12 months of a full time job to qualify for the experience class right? As an au pair then my work permit would be through the working holiday program, could I make it through express entry with that experience? Thanks in advance ;)

Hmm, I doubt that au pair would be considered a skilled job of classes 0, A, or B. Have you figured out which NOC that would fall under?

Also, you need to make sure that you gain exactly 52 weeks of experience (or more) - most IEC participants fall short because their visa is only valid for a year and they take some time to actually find a job, or they take a vacation in the beginning or end of their time in Canada.

If you don't have 52 weeks, you will not have the required minimum one year of Canadian work experience, and you wouldn't qualify for CEC and EE.

Something to consider...

In Canadian system they are defined (called as) Live-in Caregivers. I think CIC has a separate program for them. You can explore your chances/options under that category for your immigration. I think they can also apply under EE system, but i am not sure about the details.
