Hi Qorax,

Greetings from Burnaby... Thank you for your help and trying to settle here slowly..

Well the reason I am writing to you is one of my friend is working here in one of the International fast food chain as a manager .. Now his work permit has been extended for two more years or till Year 2013 ..

Now question over here is shall he bring his wife and son ..If yes ,please provide us Canadian Governments' website where we can get all forms ..

Similarly his wife and son stays in Kathamndu Nepal...Where should we start coresspondence from Kathmandu or Canada

Please advise ASAP

They can definitely apply for their visa to join him, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/work/work-faq06.asp

He can send them a copy of his work permit and they will use that to apply for their TRV's in New Delhi, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/new-delhi.asp

Here are the instructions on applying for a TRV: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-how.asp They should write in the details of their visit that they are joining husband/father in Canada.

If the son is of school age, he will also need a study permit, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/student.asp

The wife can apply for an open work permit based on the husbands work permit, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/work.asp

They will still need to prove that they will not overstay in Canada and that they can support themselves in Canada. The husband can send a copy of his work contract or 3 of his last pay slips to prove his income.
