Guys, for those who received ITA under FSW with less than 600 points and who qualified for both CEC and FSW, please double check that you have indeed qualified for FSW. If not, I would recommend sending CIC an email asking to clarify the situation. Specifically, the confusion arises at the following point:

If you've said Yes to job offer AND NO to LMIA AND your funds are less than the minimum required, then technically you should not have qualified for FSW and ITA should have been for CEC.

Yes, if you got ITA under FSW. If you had answered NO to job offer, the system would have qualified you only for CEC. The problem lies in the fact that EE profile asks separate questions about Job offer and LMIA. That's why so many people, including me, have made that mistake. Otherwise, we would have received ITA for CEC.

Note that if you've got ITA under CEC, then PoF is not an issue.

I had already mentioned "NO" there... But I have put $12,000 as my funds...If some puts less than this amount for 1 individual, then he would not be eligible for EE under FSW right ?

I too answered yes because I do have a job offer and currently working full time under that offer. I do not have an LMIA for the job though.

I am very confused and I do not want to loose this chance to apply.

That's a very useful and imp. note made by Auone..
I did the same mistake, having a full time job doesn't mean you have a "Valid Job offer". Vaild job offer should be supported by LMIA .

When I first created the EE profile, I had qualified for both FSW and CEC but wondered, how could that happen? Did some search on CIC web site and came to know that "Valid job offer" means it should be supported by LMIA ( I know there are others non-exempt - waste of discussing here)

Did you enter high enough funds? If yes, then you would qualify for FSW.

Yes I have emailed CIC, they replied that the information has been forwarded to the concerned department and that they would contact me only if further info is required. My hunch is they would revise my ITA.

Its a good thing too. If you have that much funds, you should be fine with either FSW or CEC.

I'm qualified from my work in Canada for CEC but also for FSW from another career in UK. I too have the funds, kind of. Would prefer to be offered CEC however if funds are not required.

Are we sure you do not need funds for CEC if you are no longer living in Canada/no LMIA or visa?
