I had applied earlier in 2002 and could not qualify as i fell short of 2 points. Now i am planning to launch a fresh application for skilled workers category. My question is whether i need to go for fresh attestation or the copies of all the previously attestated original docs will work. Because once we go for attestation, the originals are also attested alongwith the attached copy that we require to send to CIC.Now there is hardly any space left on my original docs where the stamps can be endorsed.Can someone suggest what to do in such a situation!
Thanks

hi
which docs u r talking about ? ::)
for pcc,ref letters, bank statment all should be within 3 months from application date,ielts 1 year.

other docs, birth certificate, marriage certificate,etc,it doesnt matter when was issued ,but should be genuine, readable, properly authenticated.

Yes i meant docs like birth certificate, marriage certificate, educational degrees etc.So you mean i can just submit the copy of these docs which have already been attested in 2002 and now have no space to put the stamps on. Am i right !

Hasni, i would recommend you to get fresh copies and get them attested. Go around to find any Notary public who only attest copies not originals. I haven't heard anyone who attest originals as well. I am sure there are several places in Pakistan where you can get copies attested without originals being touched.

Yes its ok to send old but valid docs-but for the pcc-refference letters they should not be older than 3 months،

there s a difference in attestation and notarization. What Canadian immigration needs is notarization of your documents which can only be done by a notary public. these are usually lawyers. find a notary public in your city.
