ATTENTION ALL QUEBEC APPLICANTS - MUST READ

Hi all,

I'm sponsoring my American wife for residency (outland application). I kick started the process last October 2012. Got the CSQ from MICC in January 2013. And thought all was good, knowing that the MICC will forward the CSQ to CIC. I Was wrong !!

Last week, I contacted CIC to see if there's any activity in our file. Turns out they've been waiting on the CSQ !! 4 months and counting....
obviously not the problem of CIC, but someone at MICC forgot to hit the "send" button..

I called MICC and spoke to a nice lady asking her how is it that it's been 4 months and still the CSQ is not sent? She said: Oui Monsieur, ca arrive...

well, the "ca arrive" could've cost me my application. A super nice officer from CIC contacted me and now the application is rolling.

Moral of the story: DO NOT WAIT for MICC to send the CSQ. make sure you do it yourself.

I was afraid of this possibility, so I scanned and emailed the CSQ to the CIC the day after we received it. Still no acknowledgement from CIC that they have it in the file, they did acknowledge my previous email of a scanned receipt for PPR... can't remember how long it took them to reply last time.
