Good day,
My name is Tumar and I am applying for Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP). I have already received an offer from a designated employer and currently waiting for the endorsement.
Recently I found that a couple who came to Canada through AIP program was rejected in receiving PR residence. The reason is that their previous experience doesn't match with their current position, with the specific NOC even though they had no problems in receiving an offer from the designated employer and LMIA approval.
I am applying through intermediate skills program and my work experience matches with NOC 6421- Retail sales person
the offer I have received is under NOC 6552- Customer Service Representative - Call center.
My questions are:
1. if different NOC can lead to rejection of PR application by Canadian Government?
2. If NOCes are different but duties and responsibilities are similar is my NOC eligible?
3. as long as designation from my previous work experience differs from the designation mentioned in my job offer, would it help my case if functional responsibilities from my previous job matched the functional responsibilities of my new job?
below are some links from the official Canadian government website regarding the requirements and eligibility criteria
