ATIP received. No reason for RQ included!

Just got my ATIP file and there is no mention about the reason of RQ. It shows that I have passed all the checks and also my file was moved from Mississauga to St. Clair on May 2013.

That's not unusual, especially for an ATIP of a pretest RQ. Personally, I found more information by ATIP-ing my physical files (including emails about me after my letter to the editor was published and underlines of 2 months "unemployed" on my application).

I got my physical file recently. most of the pages are not shown, like out of 55 pages i have been sent only like 10 pages and those include just my original application, documents i sent with that and just the RQ letter, not even rq form . nothing is underlined on my application, just one check mark on my residence calculator 's physical presence days. thats it. is this normal ?

They never give you a reason for the RQ...in some cases the applicants are randomly selected

Hi Moti,
It sounds like you got incomplete files. I believe ATIP always sends a form that you can use to contest the quality or completeness of the released files. I recommend sending it and seeing if you can get anything else. Good luck.
Your situation (no info on RQ in ATIP files) is not unusual though.

I got ATIP physical files under , act of information, and paid 5$. would it be better if i order under privacy act ? like physical files under privacy act ?
would there be any difference ? surprisingly, there is no correction form attached.

For your own files, you can use the privacy act and get them for free. I doubt you would get different stuff under the privacy act.
