Hi

1. No impact.
i am worried because i got approved for my study permit for MAY intake 2020 and due to pandemic i deferred to September 2020 and in meanwhile being in india with my spouse we applied SOWP online application and it got refused on the grounds

" You have been unable to adequately demonstrate that you meet the requirements of a spousal open work permit under section 205(c)(ii) of the regulatons."

do you have any idea what this refusal reason indicates?

as someone told me this reason means they doubt on your genuine marriage relationship

and i have been married since 7 years

Obtaining the notes does not help or hurt the processing of your application and you can obtain it any number of times. See official response from IRCC about it

thank you !

is there any time limit lke after refusal upto till certain date only we can apply for it or we can apply anytime after refusal like say it after 5 months or a year also can we still apply for GCMS?

Here is the official document retention policy https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=25496&section=html
Depending of the type of GCMS records you are requesting certain records are destroyed by CIC as per the above policy. Particularly, what are called "supporting documents" or "physical records" are destroyed after 2 years from the last administrative action . If a request is made for such destroyed records CIC may respond as follows;

“ Please note that we cannot provide you with the physical file xxxx since that file has been destroyed pursuant to the retention and disposal schedule of the National Archives, where most records/files are disposed of 2 years after the last administrative action"

If you are requesting the "electronic records" aka GCMS they are available for a much longer time. Waiting 5 months, a year or a few years is fine
