At What Stage Points are Calculated

Hi Guys,

At what stage exactly points are calculated, is this when the file is transfered to local visa office??

I sent my documents to Buffalo (still waiting AOR) how long after the AOR in buffalo case they calculate the points?

Please help

I am not sure at what stage the points are calculated. However, I came across this CAIPS sample file check page: please check this out, you may be able to get an idea of different stages of application. http://www.caips.ca/sample.shtml
According to this, I think it is at the second stage points are technically calculated at CHC, that is when you submit your full application to CHC. At CIO, (initial stage) an immigration officer just calculate points basing on what you said on the application, this may be similar to points calculated through self assessment test. Hi,

Once the file is transferred to the local visa office, they will first check if indeed you are eligible under the Ministerial Instructions. If the assessment/review is positive, then they will assess/review using the selection factors, security checks and fund requirements...

As to your second questions, I really don't have idea how long Buffalo Visa Office process the application...you may refer to the following link:
