AT Last File Number from Nairobi Kenya

Hello Folks,
I thought i should share this with you guys and hopefully get some answers from some of you. so after four months in the wait, i got a letter from CIC NAIROBI today about my application. it was received on 30th March 2009 and i did send it on the 12th March 2009. it took them four months in the queue to even finally get me my file number and my Fee receipt. this is just ridicoulous. like why do they have to wait this long. anyways, it says now in eCAs that processed started in August 4 and they say in the AOR letter that no processing will occur in my file for approximately six months. thats just an estimate. what does this six month period without processing means?/ and really whats happens with the first 4 months since they received my applications?? do they count or they just go on waste?? when do i expect my medicals toe be done and how come some in the forum usually talks about the AOR with medicals at the same time. when do i expect my case to be finished so i can start working at the Airport?? Guys help me in answering this coz i am confused and yet i am also happy that i am not in the dark anymore.
For those that are still waiting for their AOR hang in tight guys. i know it hurts but just dont lose hope.

What u mention is totally correct. they will take approx more than six months to process ur case from the date of ur issuing file num. my case was same. i apply in june 08. got medical in may 09. i sent pp in may 09 together with medical. now i am just waiting for pp back with visa..... almost THREE MONTHS. this is cic Nairobi. VERY SLOW.

Me Rhino i have been in Canada for the last 9 years. went to University here and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the U of A. i reside in Canada myself but was born in Nairobi Kenya.

I was a student at the University of Alberta for four years and that i graduated in 2005. i have been working the last four years. first on a post grad work permit and then the LMO first and then permit stuff. i am also learning to be a pilot at the moment and work at the same time. i should be done my flight school sometimes next year towards the end. hope this helps.

Hahahaha not in turbo yet bro.
I am just still in CEssnas. i jusr started school. but hey on my Flight simulator deluxe edition, i can now fly even an Airbus 321 as well all other kind of jets without problems. i only have problems now with Helicopters on my Sim and Boeing 777 plane. the rest are mastered at the tip of my fingers.

The sad part is these guys dont even answer anything at all till they make their mind. thats just how they are. before they send my file number last week, i wrote emails and faxes to them, they were just mute. then i just gave up till they send me their file number. dont bug them. just hold on till they reply to you coz if you do, it will make things even worse. I wish my stuff were through Buffalo but we cant always get our wish. my stuff could have been done my Dec 2009. i also guess this six months wait is because they have lots of files in the queue.

777 are the dream of every CPL aspirants. so you just are into solo. will be fun when you will be doing solo with the crapy controls in cessna.
