Asking for proof of fund after medical request

One of my friend applied in 4011 FSW category with a complete application package including proof of fund. Just one day after his medical report submission, he was asked by CIC to submit his proof of fund again. In fact, he submitted bank certificates and statements for the required amount of funds for 4011 along with his full time job offer letter during application. Does this type of case happen typically in FSW application? Did anyone face similar situation? Please share your experience. My friend is very anxious about the fate of his application. Please give some hope.

Yes, this can happen. Some people will be asked to provide updated proof of funds with the medicals, hence it is a good idea to maintain the funds in the account until you land.
