Hello everyone:
I'm here to ask for assesment of whatever kind. I just got refused for my work permit extension, and I don't know how to proceed.
Here's the sentence I don't quite understand from the refusal letter.

"After considering all the circumstances of your case, your application for a work permit cannot be approved as requested as per section R203 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. You do not possess a valid Labour Market Impact Assessment and Confirmation from Employment and Social Development Canada. Your prospective employer is responsible for obtaining this confirmation."

Please, any help provided would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

We can't help you unless you provide a lot more information.

Start by telling us what kind of work permit you had and on what basis you applied for an extension.

Ok, I got a postgraduate work permit, at the end of 2015. I worked the whole time in jobs that weren't my field of profession, and got a job about 8 months ago, in the field I studied for. 30 days before my permit expired I applied for an extension, under contract. I work on film and animation.
I applied for this extension so I could keep working until i could apply for my PR.

Please let me know if I should give more details.

Thank you

A postgraduate work permit is a one time only deal. It can only be extended if your passport expired in the middle of it. Unfortunately, you were rightly refused. To get a work permit, you have to find an employer that will go through the LMIA process for you.

You were correctly refused in that case.

As said above, you cannot extend a PGWP. If you want to continue working for your employer, then your employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA and then you need to apply for a closed work permit. I assume your PGWP has already expired. If so, you are currently out of status in Canada. You'll need to stop working immediately. Assuming you want to remain in Canada, you need to apply to restore your status and also change your status to visitor. You won't be able to start working again until you have a new and approved work permit.
