1. Nope, you can't get your passport "stamped" at ND. You either go yourself, or send the passports with someone traveling to the US and they submit them. Then they hand carry them back. They will need a letter of authorization from you.

PMM is right, same issue with me - I had to vice-versa while my folks are here and had to send Passports to New Delhi. I spend 2K ticket just to drop passports
Find a relative who can take it along

P.S Technically, its legal to give authorization letter to someone else BUT only within India, not outside although the law is not clear on this on the back of the passport- I learnt this fact during my recent trip to India

Thank you for your reply guys. I was confused what to do? so I thought if I can get visa from New Delhi instead.

So I have a letter from New York embassy about submitting passport or they say present yourself and get passport back on the same day, for that me and my wife have to get visitor visa of US and then after getting stamp we can directly go to Canada. Is it easy to get visitor visa of US by showing this embassy letter? because I believe we should go there personally rather than sending passports with someone else, anyway we have to go to Canada so we can directly go from New York. I was also thinking about to email to New Delhi for the help in this matter.

Appreciate your reply guys pls share your knowledge and experience.

Thank you
