Hello Everyone,

So my PR application finally started being processed.

I applied in May 2021.

Just got an email that they want me to submit my PC from the country of orgin. But the thing is - I already did. An original with a translation!

Why would they ask again? Can I send an old one that I applied with? If I would need to get a new one, then I don't know if I can make it in 7 days.

Did anyone else experienced this?

If IRCC request one that means they want a new one. You can send proofs of applying for it like payment of PCC and similar things.

They need PCC not more than 6 Months old so its normal submit it.

The poster said they already submitted the old one and IRCC sent a request so they are asking for a new one. If the one already submitted was fine why would they ask for another one. So they need to apply for a new one.

It might be a mistake from IRCC side but if its cheap I would prefer to submit a one.

They can ask for new ones. My suggestion since time is short:
-submit a copy of the old one with note saying this is the old one, I am applying for new one (immediately) and will send when received.
-apply for an updated police cert and submit it when you receive it. (If it is expected to take long, submit proof of applying for one - in fact if you can apply quickly and get receipt, include with the above).

Why? Well, it certainly has happened that somebody preparing file at IRCC didn't notice it was included, or the correspondence spurs a more senior person to make the decision without the updated certificate, and they just approve it.

And if not - well you've answered in time and ordered the new certificate.

There is almost certainly no / zero point in writing IRCC and hoping to get an answer in less than two or three weeks (possibly longer).
