Hi Asivad,

i have a little concern,
i have been in canada since 2012 - Did PGD and working full time now
i currently have crs - 414 with just my one year experience in canada.
my concern now is - i have 3 years experience back home ,which i have never mentioned on any form i have been filling since i got t o canada. eg student visa application form
i hope it wont be weird or cause issues if i now add it to get points in my EE profile for the fact that i dont have it on any record here in Canada.

and also, what do i need to collect to prove my experience from the company back home.

Not weird at all. Put that in asap and that will push your score up.

You'll need the following to prove that experience.

A reference or experience letter from the employer

should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and e-mail address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company);

should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits.

All the best!

Hi Asivad,

This is regarding proof of funds. I recently got an invitation to apply from CIC. There is a question as below:
What funds (Canadian dollars) does APPLICANT have available to bring to Canada to support APPLICANT and his/her family?

I am single with no dependents. I am currently working in Canada from 2013 and I have a salary letter from my employer stating my annual income which is over 50000 CAD. The LICO for my category is around 12000 CAD. My job is LMIA Exempt and I have a work permit.

Since my saving balance account is less than 10000 CAD.Can I answer CIC fund available question with the annual income(around 50000 CAD) in my salary letter and provide salary letter as proof? Can I provide a Letter of explanation for the same?

Thanks.

If you got your ITA under FSW, you will have to show monies in the bank and provide supplementary evidence including work authorization status, job offer showing salary details, pay stubs, tax assessment forms etc along with an LOE that clearly highlights that you are able to take care of yourself in Canada and have been doing that successfully for a while. That should work.

is there anything that can be done to make sure you get ITA for CEC and not FSW.

I'm not sure if this works 100% but set your POF to zero in the EE profile. Or figure out some way of making your profile ineligible for FSW and eligible only for CEC. If your profile is eligible for both, you will always be invited under FSW.

Thanks Asivad.

I have received ITA under FSW. Can I enter the annual income mentioned in my salary letter as the amount of funds available?

No. You'll need to have these funds available in the bank.

Before you make any further changes to your profile, check this on the CRS calculator to see how this impacts your score and then go back to make changes to your profile. I imagine you'll have to edit your profile and possibly transmit that information as well for the changes to take effect.

Not completely sure if it happens instantaneously in real time or not. Try logging in later tonight to see how things stand.
