Arriving late and enrolling into my course for winter intake

Hello guys,

I am waiting for a decision from IRCC following my study permit application for winter intake. My official study session starts on 17 January 2021, however I am not certain that when would I get a final decision, given that my application is in eligibity review. Therefore, I requested my DLI whether they can allow me to arrive late and enrol into my course. They said yes, and they can allow me to register beyond the start date given above.

In this case, I would like to know whether IRCC could agree with this arrangement and grant a study permit based on the above conditions. What are your thoughts on this?

IRCC has allowed international students to study January 2021 term online while waiting for their study permit. As long as DLI doesn't have any issues with this, you are good to go ahead.

You become ineligible for PGWP if the deadlines are overrun beyond April.
