Hi there, my wife and I are currently in America and are due to fly back to Canada in a week.
She is an American citizen and we are currently in the final stages of our PR process. All of her documents have been approved and they are now just reviewing her background check (she has no criminal record). We are hoping to find out very shortly about the final result.
My question is; does my wife need to purchase a return ticket? We are aware she can only stay 6 months as a guest and we would be happy to book a flight back if we have not heard in 6 months, but just wondering if this would be ok for immigration officers?
