Hello,
I am travelling to Canada as a visitor in December to visit my significant other, who is a Canadian citizen. When we planned this trip we applied for and received an exemption to the border requirements for the purposes of family reunification as an extended family member, as we had planned this trip before the border had been opened to double vaccinated travellers.
As I am fully vaccinated and the border is open for discretionary travel, I'm unsure if I should select family reunification or discretionary/optional travel by a fully vaccinated foreign national when I'm filling out my ArriveCAN forms. I'm not sure if there will be a significant difference between these two options when it comes to travelling through the border.
If anyone has gone through this scenario recently or has any advice on the situation, I'd love to hear it.
