Arrival Date in Canada

Hi Guys,

I landed Oct 2006 , went back home 4 weeks after landing , came to live permanently on 20 Oct 2008.
On 20 Dec 2011 I applied for citizenship , got RQ a month back, they want me to fill the information from arrival date in Canada till present , is my arrival date the date I landed and became PR or the date I came to live permanently ?

Any help will be highly appreciated

Hi look4d,
Arrival date should be the date you became a landed immigrant when you first came to Canada, but you should also account for all the days you were not physically present in Canada.

Hello GL,
Thank you very much for the info , I actually landed Oct 2006 as I had to land before the expiry date of the immigration visa , but I actually came to live here Oct 2008 , and of course I spent more than the 1095 days physically here before I applied for the citizenship , but what confused me is choosing which date is the arrival, the one I landed or the one I actually came to live permanently.

Pick the date you landed. When you are not sure, more is better. If you only do it from the date you arrived back in Canada, they can complain that you are missing the first 2 years of your PR but if you send it all, they can't complain about anything.
