Hi fellows,
I am an international student graduated from university in Vancouver. I hold 3 year PGWP(post-graduation work permit). I have worked as a full-time permanent employee for over 6 months and I am doing some search for CEC application.
Here is my questoin:
Can I received the 50 points of "arranged employment"?
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...-worker/permanent/skilled/make-job-offer.html
The link above shows "For the Canadian Experience Class, a job offer is not required but applicants can get additional points under the Comprehensive Ranking System for a job offer.."
So how should I claims these points? Should my employer get a LMIA for me?

You are working on an open work permit so you DO NOT qualify for those points unless you obtain LMIA.

Even though your work permit is LMIA exempt only those that are employer specific (closed work permits) can grant the 50 points after working for an employer for a year.

I agree with the above since you don't have a closed work permit, your employer will need to obtain an LMIA in order to claim points for a valid job offer. As per IRCC's instructions for PGWP holders,
A valid job offer supported by an LMIA can get you more points under the Comprehensive Ranking System. This can improve your chances of being invited to apply. So in that case, your employer may want to get an LMIA, even though you don’t need it to be eligible.
Good Luck!
