When I'm in Canada (Montreal) with a tourist passport (I'm Belgian) and I get an official offer to work from an employer (probably as a waiter, restaurant/hotel business, I speak fluent French, English and Dutch), is it possible to 'go around the flagpole' in the US and submit for a working permit? Will I need to give proof of funds when I already have an official work offer? Thanks for your answers!

1. Yes, if you don't require a medical.
2. No, you don't require proof of funds with a work permit.

Thanks for your answer! Just to be sure: so they won't ask for a proof of funds at the border when I have a letter (work offer) from an employer and ask for a work permit?

I would be thankful if anyone could answer my last question as this issue isn't absolutely clear to me. Thanks!
