are you required to update info for visitor visa application?

Hello, have an outstanding visitor visa application thats been going on for over 9 months.
since then some details have obviously changed. is it required to notify CIC about any changes if they dont request?

Just dont want to risk any ban, but all info was truthful at time of application.

Yes you must update if something significant like you got married.
