Are spousal applications involving children usually faster?

Hi all, just wondering if applications with children involved are usually processed any faster or not? I have read that CIC usually tries to complete them within 12 months.

My Vietnamese husband and I have been married since 2012 and we have a 4 year old child together. Submitted our application in May, approved as a sponsor, application now in Singapore.

If the application is for a child only - then it's usually processed faster. Otherwise no.

Our child is a Canadian citizen living in Canada with me. So our application will not be processed any faster than for couples without children

No - it won't be processed any faster. You should expect the same processing times as everyone else.
